The food was excellent. Best Mexican food I've had in years adhd very reasonably priced. El Paisa comes highly recommended.
The service was perfect The green chili was some of the best I’ve had
Stopped in on a road trip with large RVs. Staff was incredibly friendly and figured out how accommodate our large party. Food was incredible. I'd drive from CA more often for a plate here.
We met a friend and her five kids here for lunch. Despite it being busy, they were able to accommodate our party of eight. The chips are salsa arrived quickly, along with our waters. The salsa is really good, but quite hot for those not acclimated to that fabulous burn. The waitress was the only one on the floor, but despite a full dining room, our food was brought out hot and fresh. The food is good. Nothing fancy, but what you'd hope to find in a New Mexican restaurant. We ordered evening from the Taco salad to the stuffed sopapilla and everything was tasty. The atmosphere is small town, with a wide generational cross-section represented. Homey and welcoming. If you're passing through and want some good, comforting food, give this place a try!
What a perfect stop for EXCELLENT Mexican food! Very nice service with Ruby!
The New Mexico stretch of Route 66 has the best Mexican food in the the US, and Nachos in Moriarty is top-tier. We loved the Green Chile Stew (tender pork, Hatch green chile, potato, and onion and served with fresh tortillas), which was full of flavor and the best we'd ever had. We also LOVED the Flat Enchiladas (cheese and onion and topped with an over-easy egg), which I ordered with both spicy red and mellow green chile (sauce). Both delicious! The Refried Beans, Tortilla Chips and Salsa, and EVEN the Rice were all yummy. Service by kindhearted Ruby was faultless--efficient and quick. When we asked if we could buy a couple pints of the Green Chile Stew and the Red Chile sauce to take home, Ruby swiftly packaged our items to go. (This kind of request often gives servers pause.) She even translated my husband's compliments to the chef. Wonderful experience altogether!
Delicious! HOT & FRESH! Ate everything couldn’t save for later…
A local favorite, the Sunset Motel told us. And that is the truth. Food delicious the building looks old and had better days but that is only the shell!!!! If you travel from Amarillo to Albuquerque (I40/route 66). Take the exit 197 Moriarty and visit this restaurant. You won't be disapointed... if you like new Mexican food... that is..
